A UX Case Study by Joshua Ashford

Recently I completed the online UX certification program UX Design: From Concept to Prototype offered by the University of Michigan via Coursera. The course was thoroughly engaging, and I was met with the challenge to ideate my own app from beginning to end as my final thesis to complete the course and earn my certification. The following is an open-ended commentary on the processes used throughout my approach to ideate and design the app that I created called Ballot; an app created to solve the current way in which we (those belonging to modern “democratic” societies) conduct public surveys, vote, and attempt to produce open forum-like discussions on the most pressing issues plaguing our society today.
